I support Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as the WTO race narrows down to only 2 contestants
As the European Union (EU) governments yesterday expressed support for Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria’s candidate for the position of the Director-General (DG) of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), I add my own little voice. Asking the rest of the world to support Dr. Iweala in solidarity with Africa
It is my firm belief that the relationship between International trade and mobility affects Global health as could be seen by the recent COVID-19 Pandemic the world is tackling at the moment
Dr. Iweala’s leadership and experience is what the world needs at this crucial period of our evolution
I also believe that her leadership of the WTO will create the right environment and synergism between International Trade and Global health that will see to a complete eradication of COVID-19 in few months to come
